Orthopaedics Acoustic Portable Shock Wave/shockwave Therapy Machine /Impotence Treatment
Smartwave Shockwave Therapy is a multidisciplinary device used in Physiotehrapy & Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. It mainly provides fast pain relief and mobility restoration.
Together with being a non-surgical therapy with no need for painkillers makes it an ideal therapy to speed up recovery and cure various indications causing acute to chronic pain.
With different tips, the BS-SWT2X shockwave therapy system can cover most typical applications includes following commonly treated conditions:
Shoulder Tendinosis (with or without calcification)
Lateral & Medial Epicondylitis
Plantar Fasciitis (with or without Heel Spur)
Lower back pain (of muscular origin)
Trigger points (“muscle knots”)
|Technology:||Shock Wave Therapy|
|Input Voltage/Frequency :||100-240V/1-21Hz|
We know that as men age, the vessels in the penis weaken, contract and fill with micro-plaque just as they do elsewhere in the body over time.
As men age the penis decreases in sensitivity making it harder to achieve a pleasurable orgasm. Patients also tend to report increased or worsened
refractory time between sexual activity. The bottom line is that most erectile dysfunction is a result of poor blood flow, known as vasculogenic ED.
There have been countless studies, going back decades, showing Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (Li-ESWT) to be incredibly useful
for treating ED. Success rates have been reported up to 76% (Therapeutic Advances in Urology) , and even one study, published in the Scandinavian
Journal of Urology, which claimed that this could be “a possible cure” for ED in some patients!

What is shock wave?
A shockwave is a pressure wave – any action that displaces its surrounding medium is a shockwave. The
ripple created when a stone is thrown into a pond is a shockwave. The shockwaves used in equine medicine
are generated in a fluid medium inside a transducer head and are then transmitted readily through skin, fat,
and muscle. The high energy waves are focused within the transducer head so that the shockwave can be
directed to the precise area of the injury. When shockwaves hit an area of higher acoustic impedance, such
as bone, the waves slow dramatically and a large amount of energy is released into the surrounding tissue.
How Long Does Treatment Last?
The therapy session takes about 15 minutes depending on the disorder that is treated. In general, 3 -5 sessions are necessary at weekly intervals. The greatest success rate when dealing with problem areas
is achieved by following a 12 week treatment program. After only 3 sessions, over 80% of patients report
painlessness or significant pain reduction.
This pain reduction/elimination leads to restoration of full mobility and thus improving quality of life.
Repeated treatments may enhance efficacy.
• 90% improvement for plantar fasciitis (Journal of Orthopaedics Research 2005)
• 91% improvement for calcific tendonitis (Journal of American Medical Association 2003)
• 77% improvement for tennis elbow (Journal of Orthopaedics 2005)
ARE ALL SHOCKWAVE MACHINES EQUAL?
Absolutely not. There are several machines currently marketed as shockwave machines that do not generate a true shockwave. They generate what
is called a ballistic or radial wave. The physics of this type of wave are completely different from that of a true shockwave. A ballistic or radial wave is
created when a project is
rapidly accelerated by compressed air.it looks like a small jackhammer. The problem with this type of wave is
that all of the energy is deposited at the skin, and the energy drops off rapidly as you move away from the skin
The result being that unless the injury is at the skin, the injured area is not receiving the necessary energy to help the healing process. Additionally,
since the wave is not focused with this type of machine, the entire area around the treatment site is receiving the wave, which can potentially have
What signs indicate this therapy is needed?
Shock wave therapy may treat conditions such as degenerated tendons (Achilles tendonitis), heel pain
(plantar fasciitis) and tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis).

Q: Will shockwave help me?
A: Most patients with chronic pain problems have been through various unsuccessful types of treatments. More than 80% of the same patients
worldwide report that Shockwave therapy has helped them eliminate their problem.
Q: Does the treatment hurt?
A: There may be a slight feeling of discomfort during the treatment, depending on the level of pain the patient is already experiencing in the area.
However, since the treatment lasts only about five minutes, most patients are able to tolerate this discomfort. Additionally, the intensity of the
treatment can be adjusted throughout the session.
Q: How many treatment will i need?
A: The number of treatments varies depending on the indication and tissue response. The effect of the treatment is cumulative, so you will typically
need more than one (3–5) treatment. Very often though, you will experience relief right after the first treatment.
Q: How often will i need the treatment?
A: Most indications require 3–5 treatments which are done 3–10 days apart, depending on the patient’s tolerance and their tissue response.
Q: Will i need any pain after the treatment?
A: Most patients will experience an immediate pain relief following the treatment. However, within 2–4 hours after the treatment, they may experience
some soreness in the treated area. This soreness has been reported as tolerable and not limiting.
Q: Are there any restrictions after the treatment?
A: It is recommended that patients refrain from physical activity, especially one that would involve the treated region, for about 48 hours following
each treatment session.
